Miami Has Really Turned Up the HEAT with their Nike NBA City Jerseys January 24, 2018 15:33
In store this January, it's all been about the introduction of the Nike NBA City Edition jerseys, which are the 4th style of jersey to be released so far this season. A few NBA teams are starting to get ready to step out on the court in their City jerseys now, and the Miami Heat has been jacking up the hype on theirs, thanks to some great 80's styled photography and videos.
The Heat are going to be wearing a clean white kit as their City edition, with bright pink and blue detailing, which has a strong South Beach vibe. The Miami script across the front of the jersey is taken from the original Miami sign on the Heat's arena from back in 1988.
Nike have been putting the 'South Beach' colourway to good effect for years, in various capacities (who remembers that Nike LeBron 9 SB release?), and these Miami Heat jerseys are a great example of how a fire colourway, and a simple design can often be better than a design that's overworked.
The Heat will debut the jerseys, in a home game vs the Sacramento Kings on the 25th January, with the jerseys available at retail on the 24th January. While we're waiting for that to come around, check out the Heat players living that 80's dream.
