Nike Hyperdunk 2013 May 22, 2013 09:31
This July will see the debut of the 2013 edition of the Nike Hyperdunk, and the shoes look set to be as big-a-hit as ever.
The Hyperdunk model of shoe was first created, by Nike designer Peter Fogg in 2008, for the Beijing Olympic Games. The shoe brought together design and function seamlessly, making the Hyperdunk a bold and revolutionary shoe.
The 2013 edition of the Hyperdunk continues to provide a contemporary design aesthetic, as well as including Dynamic Flywire, Hyperfuse Construction and Lunarlon cushioning.
When asked about the design of the shoe, Fogg said “Although basketball shoe design has greatly transformed over nearly a century, it’s the small, crafted details that make a noticeable difference on the court. The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 moves intuitively with the foot, while the tailored tweaks we’ve made lead to an incredibly lightweight, breathable and durable shoe for both indoor and outdoor play.”
The performance of the shoes has a lot to do with the work that Nike does with athletes around the world, working out what they need, in order to do a superior job on the court.
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard, Kyrie Irving said; “When I first put the new Hyperdunks on, I didn’t want to take them off. The performance was great and I feel like the shoe’s versatility benefits my game.”
No doubt we'll see a lot more players rocking these in the months to come. Check out some of the pictures that Nike have released of the shoes:
