The Milwaukee Bucks took on the Orlando Magic last night, winning 115-109 thanks to the fact that Monta Ellis erupted to score 25 points in the 4th quarter, for a season high 39 points in the game.
Going into the 4th, The Bucks were down by 12 points, and they had lost their 3 previous head-to-heads with the Magic, so the Bucks fans were going wild as Ellis knocked down all 5 3-point attempts in the quarter and racked up more points in a single quarter than any other NBA player this season.
While we can all look on in amazement at the performance, Bucks coach Jim Boylan was still critical of his team as a whole; ''Monta was pretty amazing there in the fourth quarter. I'm happy that we won the game, but I am really concerned with the way we are playing right now…It's not good enough. We need to play better. Right now we are not a very good team. You can't rely on scoring 45 points in the fourth quarter in order to pull a game out at home.''
The Bucks are currently 8th in the Eastern Conference, sitting in the final play-off spot, but they've got their work cut out for them if they're going to hold onto that for the rest of the season.
In the meantime, check out all of Ellis' 35 4th quarter points below.
