NBA 2K13 Gives Something Back to London's Basketball Community October 26, 2012 10:13

The company responsible for hit basketball game, NBA 2K13 have announced that they are to host a grassroots community event this November in order to give back to London's basketball community.

On the 4th November, 2K will team up with Let Me Play, one of the UK's leading sports and education organisations, to host a celebratory day of basketball activities for London's youngsters, which will involve mini-games, and a basketball tournament.  The winning team in the tournament will win an exclusive NBA 2K13 trophy!

Grounded on the enormous success of the NBA 2K franchise, the day is being hosted with a view to giving something back to those in London’s communities that have actively and tirelessly pursued the interests of the sport of basketball.

“I’m thrilled to be part of such a great activity,” said Ben Lawrence, 2K UK PR Manager, “The profile of basketball was raised enormously after this summer’s sporting events and I believe NBA 2K13 can help push that even higher. This event will add to the cause, while really getting in touch with the community that has supported both the videogame and the sport all along.”

The event will take place at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College on Sunday 4th November, from 10am until 1pm. As well as the awesome trophy, there will be other prizes that can be won throughout the day including NBA jerseys and copies of NBA 2K13.

So if you're aged between 7 and 17, drop an email to lucy@letmeplay.co.uk with your name, age and contact details to reserve your place.
