The Timberwolves are unlikely to be looking forward to the start of this new NBA season, what with Ricky Rubio likely to still be out until December, and now they have lost Kevin Love to a broken hand.
It has been reported that Love broke his hand during his morning workout on Wednesday, and that he will have to miss 6-8 weeks.
Love has broken the third and fourth metacarpals in his shooting hand, meaning that he will definitely be missing the Timberwolves opener against Sacramento on the 2nd November.
Last season, Love averaged 26 points and 13.3 rebounds for the Timberwolves, making a name for himself as one of the leading power forwards in the NBA. Back in January, he signed a four-year contract with the Timberwolves worth more than $60 million.
