Thanks to the fact that England Basketball have secured a one-year naming rights sponsorship deal with VCARS.co.uk, the England Basketball League will now be known as the VCARS.co.uk Basketball League for the 2012-13 season.
VCARS.co.uk is a used car sales website, and their name will grace the seven men's divisions, and four women's divisions that make up England Basketball. The new league name also comes with a brand new logo, as pictured.
In an announcement by England Basketball, EB's CEO, Keith Mair has commented that, “It speaks volumes that VCARS.co.uk has identified England Basketball and its eleven Senior National (EBL) Basketball Leagues to communicate its brand and company values… VCARS.co.uk has made a welcome investment and commitment and we look forward to working with them to build and support the basketball community and in return to help promote the VCARS.co.uk business and brand.”
No specific details of the deal were given, but what do you think of the new name?
