The British Basketball League has announced that Molten will be a BBL sponsor, for a third year running.
The new deal between Molten and the BBL commenced on the 1st October, and will see the Molten GG7 basketball, which currently features in the BBL logo (as seen right), continue to be used by teams around the British league.
As the exclusive basketball of the BBL the GG7 basketball will feature in all BBL games, cup games, championship finals and any other club events which are organised by the BBL.
Bob Hope, Chairman of Bobe Hope TV Productions Ltd, and Molten's lead UK distributor was quoted by the BBL has having said:
"We are very pleased indeed to be in a position to continue our sponsorship of the British Basketball League for a third term. Molten is fully committed to supporting basketball in the UK and Ireland and helping to develop the game into a fully-fledged, major team sport. Over the past six years we have established an excellent relationship with BBL and this latest agreement means we can build on our achievements to date and work on developing new projects and partnerships with the organisation."
"It is so important that the top UK professional teams play with the latest basketball equipment and can compete internationally on an equal footing. Our sponsorship of BBL is one of several strands in our UK and Ireland basketball sponsorship programme, which currently includes the GB Men's and Women's Teams, Basketball Ireland, British University and Colleges Sports, British Colleges Sport and the London Youth Games."
We're pleased to see the continued use of the distinctive, and recognisable, Molten GG7 basketball around the British league for another season, and hopefully beyond.
