'92 Dream Team to Feature in NBA 2K13 August 16, 2012 20:05

Throughout the London 2012 Olympics, debate raged over whether the current USA Team, would be capable of beating the so called 'Dream Team' from the Barcelona '92 Olympics.

Now NBA 2K13 will give us all a chance to find out what could have been, if both had gone head-to-head in their prime.

NBA 2K13 Front Cover featuring Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant

The game comes out on 2nd October and will allow players to control the legendary line-up of Jordan, Magic, Bird, Drexler, Malone, Barkley, Stockton, Robinson and co, as they go up against the Gold Medalists of London 2012.

The only player from either line-up to be missing from the game is Scottie Pippen, as terms couldn't be agreed for the rights of his inclusion in the game.

The front cover of the game is set to feature Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls. Sadly we didn't get to see what Griffin or Rose could have been capable of at this years Olympics, as they have both been injured, but Durant impressed the UK crowds with his athleticism and range throughout.

We're expecting a good soundtrack for the game as well, considering the fact that Brooklyn Nets co-owner, Jay-Z, is the executive producer for the game. It's actually Jay-Z who has been credited with the idea of including both the 1992 and 2012 USA Olympic teams in the game.

Also new to NBA 2K13 on the XBox 360, is compatibility with the Kinect, whereby you can shout plays and call time-outs in a mostly-voice orientated approach to Kinect interaction.
