Back in June this year, Nike held their World Basketball Celebration in Brixton, which was quickly followed by the re-development of the basketball court at the Black Prince Community Hub, which has been suitably named, The Regal.
After June's basketball celebrations, Nike wanted to leave something as a lasting legacy for the area, and this stunning basketball court is it. The project surrounding the court is aimed at inspiring the next generation of ballers to get involved, and take their game to the next level.
The court itself looks amazing. It has a Junckers press dried Beech floor that has been finished with a black oil lacquer, and 'The Regal' brand ID printed in gold. It also boasts gold plated hoops and smoked glass backboards.
The walls of the court have a flock effect wallpaper emblazoned with a basketball motif, as well as a display of unique, framed basketball jerseys representing important British and international basketball heros.
