Team USA Add Two Players To It's Olympic Squad May 04, 2012 12:21
Team USA have announced that they've added James Harden, of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and College star Anthony Davis to the lineup of candidates for the London 2012 Olympics team. Harden and Davis have been drafted in to replace the injured Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard.
Harden is the favourite for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year this season after averaging 16.8 points and 4.1 rebounds off the bench for the Thunder. Harden is currently helping the Thunder through the playoffs, where they hold a 3-0 lead over reigning NBA Champions, the Dallas Mavericks.
Davis plays NCAA college basketball for the University of Kentucky, and was voted college player of the year after leading his team to the NCAA Championship last month.
The final 12 players have to been chosen from this candidate pool on 18th June, and they will go forward to play in the London Olympics.
