James and Jefferson Named NBA Players of the Week April 24, 2012 14:51
The NBA yesterday named LeBron James of the Miami Heat, and Al Jefferson of the Utah Jazz, as it's players of the week, for games played between Monday 16th April and Sunday 22nd April.
In the East, LeBron James led the Heat to a 4-1 week, while averaging a massive 31.0 points (on 58% shooting), 7.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. The Heat's only loss in the week happened when LeBron didn't play. In the game against New Jersey on 16th April, James scored Miami's last 17 points, all in the final 4:47, to lead his team to a 101-98 win.
In the West, Jefferson led the Jazz to a perfect 3-0 week, whle averaging a strong 20.0 points and a monster 15.3 rebounds. In the game against the Dallas Mavericks on 16th April, Jefferson scored 28 points to go with a career high 26 rebounds in the 123-121 triple-overtime victory.
