Garnett and Bynum Named as NBA Players of the Week April 17, 2012 13:05
The NBA yesterday named Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics, and Andrew Bynum of the Los Angeles Lakers, as it's players of the week, for games played between Monday 9th April and Sunday 15th April.
In the East, Garnett helped the Celtics finish the week with a 4-1 record, while averaging an impressive 20.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks, as Boston gears up for playoffs. In the 88-86 win over the Atlanta Hawks on 11th April, Garnett posted 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to go with 2 assists and 3 steals.
In the West, the Lakers' Andrew Bynum led his team to an unbeaten 4-0 week, while averaging a dominant 21.8 points, 16.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks. In the 98-84 win over the San Antonio Spurs on 11th April, Bynum scored 16 points to go with a massive 30 rebounds (the most in the NBA for two years), aswell as having 2 assists and 2 blocked shots.
