Hardy Named BBL Player of the Month April 04, 2012 18:25

As the BBL season in the UK races towards a conclusion, everyone is guessing who is going to be this season's MVP.

Aryon Hardy, of the Leicester Riders, has solidified his case for MVP by being named Molten BBL Player of the month for March.

Hardy's first year in the BBL has been an impressive one. Having played college ball in Jacksonville, Hardy has impressed fans, officials and other players alike this season by showing a level of skill which goes above and beyond a great number of other players in the league.

During March, Hardy posted some seriously impressive numbers, making himself heard at both ends of the court. He averaged 17.86 points per game, with a field goal percentage of over 66%.  If that's not noteworthy enough, Hardy also averaged 10.7 rebounds per game, along with 6.6 assists, 3.3 steals and 1.7 blocks per game.

Will that sort of NBA-style stat line, Hardy has put in one of the best performances by a BBL player, in a single month, ever. The MVP race is on.
