Jeremy Lin Added to the Rising Stars Challenge February 17, 2012 15:13
The NBA yesterday announced that it had chosen Jeremy Lin, of the New York Knicks, as a late addition to the Rising Stars Challenge game, for All-Star Weekend 2012.
It was also announced that, Norris Cole of the Miami Heat was added to the draft pool, right before Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley drafted their teams.
It would have been a travesty if the NBA hadn't added Lin to the Rising Star Games draft, especially after making such a dramatic impact in his first five games as a starter in the NBA.
In Lin's first five starts for the New York Knicks this year, he has scored a whopping 136 points, which is the most by a player since the NBA merged with the ABA in 1976-77.
During the Rising Stars Challenge Draft, Charles Barkley said that it was, "really stupid the NBA denied him in the beginning."
