Deng is Still on Track for the 2012 London Olympics February 06, 2012 17:21

Good news for Chicago Bulls, and Team GB fans alike. At the weekend, Luol Deng made his return to the Bulls, after missing 7 games due to a wrist injury. There were fears that the injury would keep the NBA star from making an appearance for Team GB in the London 2012 Olympics, but his performance against Milwaukee at the weekend promises otherwise.

Deng came back with 21 points to help Chicago take down the Bucks 113-90. Deng injured his wrist on 21st January, against Charlotte, and it was thought that he might need surgery. Luckily, doctors decided against it, and Deng just took time out to let the wrist heal. There are still worries that further damage to the weakened wrist might result in Deng missing the Olympics, but that can't stop him getting on with the task at hand in the NBA.

Before his injury, Deng was averaging 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds a game, helping to keep Chicago in the running for the Championship this season.
