Milwaukee's Bogut Breaks Ankle January 27, 2012 14:46

It was announced yesterday after an MRI scan that, Andrew Bogut, of the Milwaukee Bucks, had broken his left ankle in the game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

The injury occurred when he went up to block a shot in the first quarter, and landed awkwardly on a Houston player's foot.

Bogut last night tweeted that, “I will get back from this,” adding that the “Injury was beyond my control.”

The injury is a major setback for the 7-foot center, who is still expected to lead the Australian National team, at the London 2012 Olympics this summer.

The former No.1 pick in the 2005 draft, has got career averages of 12.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.
