Howard and Gasol Named Players of the Week January 24, 2012 12:55

The NBA yesterday announced that Marc Gasol, from the Western Conference, and Dwight Howard, from the Eastern Conference, are its players of the week, from games played between Monday 16th Jan, and Sunday 22nd Jan.

Gasol carried Memphis to a 4-0 week, in which he averaged 19.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 blocks. In the 128-95 win over the Sacramento Kings on Jan 21st, Gasol finished the game with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks.

Howard showed his class once again this week, when he averaged a massive 19.5 points, 18.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 blocks, leading the Magic to a 3-1 week. In an overtime win against the San Antonio Spurs on 18th Jan, Dwight scored 24 points to go with a season high 25 rebounds.
