Bryant and Rose Named as Players of the Week January 16, 2012 17:09

The NBA today announced that Kobe Bryant, from the Western Conference, and Derrick Rose, from the Eastern Conference, are its players of the week from games played between Mon 9th Jan, and Sunday 15th Jan.

Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers to three wins and only one defeat during the week, while averaging a massive 43 points, 6.25 rebounds, 3.5 assists to go with 2.25 steals. He scored 40-plus in each of his teams four games. Bryant currently leads the NBA in scoring with 32 points per game.

Rose helped the Bulls to a perfect week, going 5-0. Although, he did miss a game during the week with a sprained left big toe, he still managed to average 24 points and 9.3 assists in 38.8 minuted per game. The Chicago Bulls are now on a five game winning streak, taking them to 12-2 overall, which leads the NBA.
