Leicester Riders sign Sullivan for the Season December 01, 2011 19:00

Breaking news for the BBLs Leicester Riders today as GB international Captain, Andrew Sullivan signs a season-long deal with them.

The 31-year old player, formerly of the Mersey Tigers and Newcastle Eagles, signed a week-by-week contract with the Riders back in October, and they have been keen to sign him for the longer term ever since.

The Riders have gotten off to a great start this season, remaining unbeaten and are now sat at 3rd in the league. Needing Sullivan to help keep up the good work, the Riders have been able to make the signing thanks to a sponsorship deal that they have secured from local businesses.

The Leicester Riders' next game is against the Newcastle Eagles at Sports Central this Friday, in the second leg of the semi-final of the BBL Cup. Both teams are tied at 90-90 after their first leg game.
