German Team in Discussions with Durant November 18, 2011 20:44

Kevin Durant, of the Oklahoma City Thunder, has been reported to be in talks with German team BBC Bayreuth. A deal is not thought to be close at this point, as reported by SI.com.

Durant's agent, Aaron Goodwin, told SI.com that, "We're just discussing it" adding, "We're in discussions and it's definitely a consideration, but we're not in the final stages."

Spox.com have quoted Bayreuth general manager, Uli Eichbaum, as saying, "We're in the final stages of a deal and I'm an optimist. It's not looking bad."

The longer the lockout lasts, the more likely it is NBA megastars will head overseas. Will Durant be the first superstar to sign with a foreign team? We'll just have to see.
