Williams, a two time NBA All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist, was one of the first NBA players to sign a contract with an overseas team. This was when NBA negotiations were going badly with the Players Union, but before a lockout was called.
Semih Erden, from the Cleveland Cavaliers, also joined Besiktas as a lockout signing in the summer. He scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to give the Turkish side the commanding victory.
Marcelus Kemp top scored for Besiktas with 27 points, while David Hawkins chipped in with 22 points and four dimes.
