Nets Co-Owner Jay-Z, To Open Nets New Arena In Brooklyn September 27, 2011 19:36

New Jersey Nets part owner and rap legend, Jay-Z, will open his teams brand new arena in Brooklyn next September, by performing in several concerts.

In a press conference on Monday, that was held opposite the construction site for the  Brooklyn Barclays Center, Jay-Z hinted that the Nets would change their name to the Brooklyn Nets, when they are scheduled to enter their new arena for the 2012-13 season.

Jay-Z also said that he would perform in "maybe one, maybe two, maybe three" concerts next year at the arena when it opens.

Concert dates have not yet been set for Jay-Z's performances, but he has promised there will be "definitely more than one."
